Stancombe Beech Farm Shop
The late Jim Dickenson, who died aged 89 in early 2019, was famous throughout the west country and beyond for his honey, six to eight tonnes of which is produced annually by bees in 350 hives around the village and at other sites on the Cotswold Hills, as far as Berkeley Vale.
The family farm shop is in Stancombe Lane on the outskirts of Bisley.
It offers a wide selection of fruit and vegetables - grown on the farm itself where possible - at very reasonable prices, as well as high quality Gloucestershire cheeses, jams, and other produce, including exceptional local honey produced by the Dickenson family themselves.
There are also bedding plants and seeds/seed potatoes and the like.
During the coronavirus period the shop is still open, but entry is currently restricted to two customers at a time.
