Bisley's annual Flower Show was first held in 1863, and the tradition continues to this day.
The event takes place every August, from 2-4pm on the Bank Holiday Saturday, and some two thousand people attend.
There are more than five hundred exhibits, including flower arrangements, vegetables and baking (as per the above photograph), jams and chutneys, and items in fun categories aimed at children.
There's a beer tent, food, a second-hand book stall, and lots of other entertaining things going on.
The Village Fête takes place around the marquee, and much of the produce is auctioned off at the end of the festival.
Much more detail can be found on the Flower Show website.
The 2019 Bisley Flower Show starts at 2pm on Saturday August 25, and ends at 4pm with prize-giving and then an auction of produce. Please come along and enjoy the day.
NOTE TO VILLAGERS:
The Flower Show marquee costs more than £2,000 each year - if you're able to sponsor a table for just £10, please contact Ollie Miles on 01452 770788.
The annual Inter-Village Quiz takes place the following day (Sunday August 25) in the marquee, from 5pm. A team from Bisley won for the village last year - for the first time in a while - so the likes of Oakridge and Eastcombe will be out for revenge. Teams are needed - up to six people can form a team, and it costs £30 to enter.
