Bisley Blue Coat School Trust Fund
From Leilia Broadley, Trustee
Did you know that Bisley Blue Coat has its very own Trust Fund?
A village school plays an important role in our lives, it is both the heart and the future of our village! You may have attended Bisley Blue Coat yourself; you may have sent your children to the school, or you may have particularly fond memories of seeing local children ‘dressing the wells’ – all of these contribute to our local story.
It is a well-known fact that village schools receive lower funding due to smaller numbers and with such schools closing - including in the surrounding areas - it is more important than ever that we work together as parents, former parents and pupils and as a local community to support our school so that these memories can continue to be made into the future.
Established at the end of 2019, the Trust fund was created by parents of the school to provide a way of providing financial support to the school in these uncertain times.
Along with creating the cash fund, there are several identified capital projects that will enhance the attractiveness of the school and increase the facilities available to our current cohort of pupils in the short term.
These include:
• A dedicated intervention/ calm space;
• A bespoke school garden with raised beds & greenhouse;
• New permanent storage building to replace ageing sheds;
• Improving the energy efficiency of the current building stock, improving the school’s sustainability;
If you would like further information about the Trust, how to get involved or how to make a donation please contact us via the email address below or the school office.
